My MA thesis here at Coventry explores how the use of visual metaphors in automotive form could enable the users to relate to their vehicles in a better way.

The concept i am working around is a vehicle that is meant to be driven outside the city, which will not only allow the user to escape from the restrictive driving conditions of the city, but also provide him with a rich and vibrant experience and take him back to the pleasures of driving. The vehicle aims to give its user an exhilarating experience and a welcome break from the grind of daily routines.

The metaphor I used to express this was a kayak. A kayak provides the kind of pure experiences i wish for my concept to provide. Being surrounded by water during kayaking and the myriad of sensory experiences that provides are also something that i tried to emulate in my concept.

the first step

My first ever step into blogosphere.. a small step for me but a giant step for procrastinator-kind ... after lots of pushing from myself and others, i have finally started my blog !

Subsequent posts will mostly include my work, and occasionally my views about things, mostly cars, design, food and life (no blog can be complete without that !)
